Azure Networking - New Portal RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have created a vNet and subnets and a vNet Gateway in the new portal. I am unable to see these networks in the Classic portal, is this expected behaviour?

I am trying to create a test S2S VPN, but have hit a dead end. I can't find any information on what to do once the Gateway has been created in the new portal.

  • Simon yes it is and it's the same for VMs. Azure is a bit split brained at the moment the old way was called service management and it's powershell and ways of creating fabric.  The new portal is based on Azure Rerource Management and is  a better system as it clusters vms networks web sites etc. into resource groups allowing you to use these as a single point of management.  My advice is to use the new portal whenever possible as it is the future , however there are a couple of thing like setting up AD which only work in the classic portal.
