Pipeline giving error while executing usql

    Question

  • Hi All,

I am creating one simple pipeline in Azure data factory which will execute one u- SQL script.

I have configured all the activity correctly, but then also getting below error.

can someone let me what I am missing to resolve this issue?

    Error:-

Activity U-SQL1 failed: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: dataFactoryName

  • Hi Vipin,

Try creating a custom Azure integration runtime and configuring your pipeline to use that instead. You can find instructions here.  If that doesn't work, it may be useful to post the JSON code behind your data factory (scrubbed of any sensitive information of course). You can find that by clicking the 'code' button on the right of your pipeline visual tools.

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hello,

I had the same issue yesterday.
Changing the ADLS linked service from an MSI based-authentication to a Service Principal authentication (same service principal as ADLA linked service) solved the problem.

Note: I didn't had to change the Integration Runtime
