Site Analysis Report - The Title is empty (False positives) are true positives RRS feed

    Hi,

I ran a site analysis report. I am coming up with violations the title is empty for many of the pages. When I check the source code of the pages which are being listed, most do have titles. What I do notice is that the text for the title is on a separate line. For example <title>

    textin title

    </title>

Any idea what may be going on here?

    Thanks,

    John

    Hi,

Is this post and Thread Answered the Forum View shows that it is ?

Have you checked CarlosAG's Blog / Web Site http://www.carlosag.net/blog ?

You ran a Seo Site Analysis report and your getting violations for many of the pages.

You have checked the pages and the <tags> Text are on different lines.

The Example <title> The Text for Title "then a possble hidden character then finish with tag </title>.

What editor are you using to check the source code ?

When you see the Example problems this is the "default" source code viewer for the browser ?

    Hello,

Look at this Seo Forums post http://forums.iis.net/t/1181256.aspx . CarlosAg's Suggestions:

Could you provide the details of the status code, if you are in the

Details dialog you can find the "Related URLs" menu at the top toolbar,

you should see the URL in there, click Details and you will see all the details on why it thinks it was broken.

You should be able to see the Status Code as well as the Content returned by the server (in the Content tab) and even the raw Headers.
