Unable to apply Standard130ItemTemplate

    Question

  • Hi,I am unable to apply the Standard 130 Item template using the {Static Resource}  in Item Template.I read somewhere that StandardStyle.xaml is absent in windows 8.1 store apps  development .Is this the cause for the problem?

  • Hi Karteek,

    StandardStyle.xaml is not included in the project but not means it's gone, you can find it from C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.1\Include\Winrt\Xaml\Design\generic.xaml

    However if you find Standard130Items Template is missing, you can manually create one, simply copy it from Visual Studio 2012 8.0 App (copied from blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/somasegar/archive/2012/08/28/building-an-end-to-end-windows-store-app-part-2-integrating-cloud-services.aspx)

     <DataTemplate x:Key="Standard130ItemTemplate">
            <Grid Height="110" Margin="6">
                <Grid.ColumnDefinitions>
                    <ColumnDefinition Width="Auto"/>
                    <ColumnDefinition Width="*"/>
                </Grid.ColumnDefinitions>
                <Border Background="{StaticResource ListViewItemPlaceholderBackgroundThemeBrush}" Width="110" Height="110">
                    <Image Source="{Binding Image}" Stretch="UniformToFill" AutomationProperties.Name="{Binding Title}"/>
                </Border>
                <StackPanel Grid.Column="1" VerticalAlignment="Top" Margin="10,0,0,0">
                    <TextBlock Text="{Binding Title}" Style="{StaticResource TitleTextStyle}" TextWrapping="NoWrap"/>
                    <TextBlock Text="{Binding Subtitle}" Style="{StaticResource CaptionTextStyle}" TextWrapping="NoWrap"/>
                    <TextBlock Text="{Binding Description}" Style="{StaticResource BodyTextStyle}" MaxHeight="60"/>
                </StackPanel>
            </Grid>
        </DataTemplate>
