Modify end date in ADF v1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My production pipelines are currently running in ADF v1.  I need to modify the end date for these pipelines to a future date.

In the Monitor and Manage app, I am not able to find any option to edit the activity end date.

Can someone please guide me on how to proceed ahead?

    Thanks in advance!

  • You may use PowerShell command to set the end time.

    Set-AzDataFactoryPipelineActivePeriod -ResourceGroupName "ADF" -PipelineName "DPWikisample"
    -DataFactoryName "WikiADF"
    -StartDateTime 2014-05-21T16:00:00Z -EndDateTime 2014-05-22T16:00:00Z

    Details here:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/az.datafactory/Set-AzDataFactoryPipelineActivePeriod?view=azps-3.2.0

  • Thanks for the reply Vaibhav !

Can a pipeline created via VS or .NET sdk , be modified in Powershell ?

I am new to ADF and not completely clear on this.

Yes, PowerShell can be used. In fact, they have disabled the operations on pipelines using UI and have given options to use PowerShell and I guess, .NET, Rest API etc. as well.

Do consider migrating pipelines to ADF v2, it's UI friendly interface and much better than v1.

  • Thanks alot Vaibhav!

Yes we are considering migrating to ADF v2 in the next month. However our current activities have an end date set as 30th Dec which needs to be changed in order to keep the jobs running while we work on migration.

    Your inputs really helped.

    Thanks again!
