As stated in another of these threads, Windows Phone SDK 8.0 requires functionality that is only available in Windows 8. So there will not be a version for Windows 7. The Windows Phone 8 emulator uses Hyper-V virtualization, which is only available in 64-bit versions of Windows 8, so there is unlikely to be support for 32-bit versions of Windows 8.

Hi
Is it possible to install the WP8 sdk on a x86 computer anyway ?
Could I develop and compile my applications on my 32-bit computer and then run them on the target device directly ?
Thanks

The System Requirements state that the SDK requires Windows 8 64-bit (x64), and that the emulator requires Windows 8 Pro 64-bit (x64) and a CPU that supports Hyper-V. That is all.Monday, November 5, 2012 3:06 PM

im not buying a new laptop just to get windows phone 8 sdk, its stupid, im on 32bit, surely MS can make hyper-V work on a 32bit structure.....eventually in 10 years time, since thats usually how long it takes, the tiles on phones was invented 4 years ago and MS now use them in w8? lol anyway thank you for telling me the answer to this , however im interested in if they will make a 32bit versionThursday, November 22, 2012 6:59 PM
