Can I have more than one application installed on the nodes in a batch pool? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I run a set of jobs and tasks using an application installed on the nodes in a pool. The outputs are downloaded from storage and processed. I then create a new set of jobs and tasks on the nodes to do further processing on these outputs. Nothing happens and when I check the nodes using Batch Explorer I find that the second application has not been installed. There is nothing wrong with it as I can install and run it on a pool if the other application has not been installed and run on it first. Is it possible to use a pool to run two different apps or do I need a separate pool for each one?

    Thanks

  • I have used two separate pools and that works fine. It will do for the moment and I shall go back to trying two apps on one pool some time in the future.
