Implementing reliable system with WCF and MSMQ RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    I am architecting a solution which will run in a cluster and which requires reliability of messages.

    I am thinking of using a .Net client which will be pushing messages to a MSMQ queue which will be listened by all the servers in cluster on which WCF will be running.

    Can somebody please guide me or provide me any sample for the same as this seems to be a industry's common architecture.

    I did got some links on internet but those solutions did not had full code to support

    Cheers

  • Can you just clarify something, is the msmq server part of the cluster as well?

  • Hi Everybody,

    Can somebody please respond to this mail.

    I have got one sample(http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WCF/WCF_MSMQ_Integration.aspx) which talks about with MSMQ.

    In this it mentions endpoint as

    address="msmq.formatname:DIRECT=OS:.\private$\northwindqueue"

    This eendpoint is for scenario when both WCF and MSMQ are on the same server.But when we hit MSMQ from a client at different server, this doesn't works even in same domain.I do mentioned Ipaddress appropriatly.Do somebody here can help me in this.

    Cheers

  • Private message queues are private to that machine, you will at the very least need a public queue.
