How to configure Individual Forms to specific List Views? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a SharePoint 2010 list of products. This list has a number of list views, each filtering on specific products e.g. List view A = Product A etc. I have created Content Types and corresponding InfoPath forms for each product such that only the list columns relevant to each product are shown.

I'm trying to only configure the specific Content Type form to its corresponding List View, e.g. If viewing List View B and therefore Product B the View/Edit/New forms for that specific Content Type/form is only displayed.

I've not been able to find a way to do this yet, any ideas?

  • Place code on the view page that creates a button. In the code, use the URL to determine which form to send the user to and manually place the code there.

  • Do you have an example to the code I could use for this? i.e. html or jScript?
