Internet Explorer 10 - German Amazon pages don't show the search field where you can search for a product

  • In amazon pages, where you normally can search a product, the field for searching doesn't appear, that means you cannot search at all. Compatibility mode doesn't change anything.

  • Hey Wholi,

     

    The www.amazon.de page seems to be using Quirks for the Document Mode. You can manually load the page using Internet Explorer 10, Internet Explorer 9, etc. by following the steps below:

    • Open the page in question in the desktop version of Internet Explorer
    • Press F12 on your keyboard
    • Click Document Mode:
    • Click Internet Explorer 10 standards

     

    The page will then refresh and you'll see the search bar displayed next to the drop down.

    Sorry, that I didn't see it in the beginning, only the german amazon pages are involved. What is wrong there?
