Force value in DynamicFilter

I'm trying to force a filtered grid on page load, but I don't know how to make the DynamicFilter in the FilterRepeater reflect the choice. How do I do that?

Another way of looking at this would be, is there a way to filter a grid programmatically using the DynamicFilter?

Thanks Steve,

 But how do I make the Dynamic Filters show that the grid is filtered on one of it's values? The filter dropdown shows "All" instead of the value I filtered on.

You could alter the Filters code and put your own logic in there or you could hang an event handler off the Filter repeater say on the ItemCreated and see which filter it is and then set its default value etc.
