  • Question

  • Hi,

I am setting up database mirroring between servers. When I clicked start mirroring, I received following error:

"The server network address "tcp://xxxx.xxx.com:5022" canot be reached or does not exist. Check the netork addres name and that the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operation. (microsoft sql server error: 1418)". Any help?

    Thanks

  • If you can telnet to 5022 as Sean described you could also face a permissions issue. Make sure that you have CONNECT privileges granted to your service users on the endpoint

  • Hello,

Please double check to make sure that the firewall rules ar ein place to pass port 5022 TCP. Also, can you see if the endpoint is listening by trying to telnet to 5022 to that server?
