Promote a property inside orchestration.

    Question

  • Hello,

    Trying to promote a property inside orchestration in order to use it in send port to filter messages.

    Here are the design steps:

    1. Created a property schema – field element ID
    2. In the field element property I selected MessageContextPropertyBase in the Property Schema Base drop down
    3. In orchestration I created both Correlation Type and Correlation Sets
    4. 3 send shapes in orchestration have Initialize Correlation Sets set to appropriate correlation set
    5. In MessageAssign shape I used the following expressin:

    MessageOut = MessageIn

    MessageOut(ProjectName.Schemas.ID) = “11”;

    1. Compiled and deployed the project.
    2. In BizTalk admin console I have created a send port with the filter  ProjectName.Schemas.ID = 11

    Unfortunately message fails with the following error: The published message could not be routed because no subscribers were found. This error occurs if the subscribing orchestration or send port has not been enlisted, or if some of the message properties necessary for subscription evaluation have not been promoted.

    Also looking at the message context property I do not see ProjectName.Schemas.ID in both promoted and not promoted types.

    Any help in how to promote this property so I can filter on in send port would be much appreciated.
