GestureRecognizer throws "Failed to start tracking the pointer, because it is already being tracked"

    Question

  • I'm using a GestureRecognizer to detect tap and scale events on the CoreWindow, and I've found that it is easy to crash the app by simply drumming with two fingers on the touchscreen or trackpad. When the error occurs, the GestureRecognizer throws an exception at ProcessDownEvent(...) with the following message

WinRT information: Failed to start tracking the pointer, because it is already being tracked.

This error even occurs in the C++ GestureRecognizer sample. Can someone please help me figure out what the problem is?

    Thanks!

    David
