Does Windows support _TZP (ACPI object)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can monitor whether or not an ACPI object is called. I noticed that _TMP is called during the Windows XP boot process, but not called anymore after Windows XP in operation. I tried to use _TZP to set the polling frequency, but _TMP is still not called when Windows XP is in operation. I tried either "Name (_TZP, 600)" or "Method (_TZP) { Return (600) } " in the thermal zone, it doesn't work. I put a breakpoint in the method to break if Windows XP call the _TZP, but it never break, means it is never called. Does Windows support _TZP?

    Thanks.

  • I need to make a correction. _TMP is called too after Windows is in operation, it seems that it is called based on Windows default period. The _TZP is not called.
