Create Mailbox on Exchange Server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a C# app that gets the user in active directory and creates the mailbox(In Exchange Server 2010) for the user. I am trying to create the mailbox as specified here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3398056/how-do-i-programatically-create-an-exchange-2010-mailbox-using-c-sharp

But, when it tries to Open() the runspace i am getting following error:

Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cannot process the request. If the authentication scheme is different from Kerberos, or if the client computer is not joined to a domain, then HTTPS transport must be used or the destination machine must be added to the TrustedHosts configuration setting. Use winrm.cmd to configure TrustedHosts. Note that computers in the TrustedHosts list might not be authenticated. You can get more information about that by running the following command: winrm help config. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

I tried giving the URI with "https" then i got this error:

Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The server certificate on the destination computer (exchangeserver:443) has the following errors:
The SSL certificate contains a common name (CN) that does not match the hostname. For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.

Did any one faced similar issue or am i missing any thing? Is there any configuration i need to do on exchange server.

  • Can you send your task developing Os Version..?

You need to install Windows Management Framework Core for your machine and it supports only Win XP SP 3 and above machines.
