Owner of SQL Agent Replication jobs; RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all, I setup transactional replication between two servers, After I setup replication I noticed all the SQL Agent jobs had my domainname/username as the owner of the SQL Agent jobs(at the publisher as well as the subscriber). Is there way to change it while we set up replication instead of changing it afterwards?
    Thanks

  • The owner is whoever created the job.

If you need to change it try to use this command.

    use msdb
    GO
    exec sp_update_job @job_name ='JobName'.@owner_login_name='NewAccount'
