Web deployment task failed

Hi,

When publishing one project within Win 2012 server, I've got this

Error 1 Web deployment task failed. (There was an error reading IIS configuration schema from 'C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\config\schema\'.) 0 0 Start

Why? Here is what I do to publish it.

try to pblish with Publish Method: File System and upload that folder to webserver hope this help...

hi there,

it looks like you did not properly configure your webdpeloy. May I please know whether you run your own server OR do you host it on a shared host?

Please check the permission on the IIS and please make sure that the IIS user is allowed for web deploy and access to your folder. Please mark this response as an "answer" if it helps you. Thanks heaps!

Necro,

I can't find out IIS user in Active directory of Win 2012 server. Must there be IIS user inside Win 2012 server? I'm publishing it in my Win 2012 server.

Hi Wmec,

I have tried it myself in Active Directory and I cannot find this user either. Odd.....

I can, however, conform that webdeploy works in a non Active Directory environment.

This is interesting and I am waiting for the others comment as well
