WiFi disable on Windows System RRS feed

Answers

  • There are several ways to do it.  The best way depends on what you're trying to do, and which OS you're targeting.  For example, you can use the WlanApi to force a disconnect to any associated networks, but this tends to override user preferences.  You can use SetupDi to disable the WLAN device, but this completely hides the NIC from most UIs.  You can use IRadioInstance::SetRadioState to turn off the radio, but this only works on Windows 8 and later.
