Enforce Outlook Web Access single concurrent session per user RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, everybody.

I hope you can share some insight on this.

A customer is asking, based on SOX compliance requirement, that each user be allowed to only have a single Outlook Web Access session open at any one time.  Is this feasible?  Does anyone know any code or third party product that will achieve this?  Multiple Client Access Servers must work in sync.  MAPI sessions from Outlook 200x must not be affected by this limit.

    Thank you very much,

    Mario

  • G'day Mario,

One of the Microsoft guys will probably give you the official answer, but you've probably got the wrong forum. This one is about the Exchange Service / Outlook procotocol specifications.

Your best bet is probably somewhere in the "Exchange Server" forums, perhaps the "Clients" one:

    Good luck with your investigations.

  • This forum is covering the Exchange Server protocol specifications.  The protocol specifications can be found here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc307725.aspx.  And the forum Brad mentioned is a good starting point.

    Thanks Brad for jumping in.
