  • Hi

    have you installed first all features required by exchange 2013, and after installation did you rebooted server ?

    After reboot you should install UCMA 4.0

    Also if you have installed any previous versions of UCMA you need to uninstall them using add/remove programs, Then restart server and install UCMA 4.0

  • I'm having an issue after two failed installations (partial) on Exchange 2013.

    OS: Windows Server 2012 Datacenter

    Exchange 2013

    Removed all through ADSI method and registry changes. However, when reinstalling, I get this error:

    The registry key "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ExchangeServer\v15\Pickup" does not exist under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE".".

    For the Mailbox Role: Transport Service

    How can I correct that?

    I've already uninstalled Unified messaging runtime 4.0 and 5.0, and reinstalled 4.0.

  • I recreated the two keys it said were not found; not sure why it didn't just install them with the pre-reqs, but now I'm getting this:

    Error:
    The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();
              $vdirName = "PowerShell";
              $InternalPowerShellUrl="http://" + $RoleFqdnOrName + "/powershell";
              new-PowerShellVirtualDirectory $vdirName -Role Mailbox -InternalUrl $InternalPowerShellUrl -DomainController $RoleDomainController -BasicAuthentication:$false -WindowsAuthentication:$false -RequireSSL:$false -WebSiteName "Default Web Site" -AppPoolId "MSExchangePowerShellFrontEndAppPool";
              new-PowerShellVirtualDirectory $vdirName -Role Mailbox -DomainController $RoleDomainController -BasicAuthentication:$false -WindowsAuthentication:$true -RequireSSL:$true -WebSiteName "Exchange Back End" -Path ($RoleInstallPath + "ClientAccess\PowerShell-Proxy");
            " was run: "The virtual directory 'PowerShell' already exists under 'SRV0.forest.scafidi.org/Default Web Site'.
    Parameter name: VirtualDirectoryName".

    How can I completely remove ALL old Exchange 2013 files and current installation progress so that I can start fresh? I'm debating a fresh OS install, as this is a development server.

  • Now, I get this:

    Error:
    The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();
              $vdirName = "PowerShell";
              $InternalPowerShellUrl="http://" + $RoleFqdnOrName + "/powershell";
              new-PowerShellVirtualDirectory $vdirName -Role Mailbox -InternalUrl $InternalPowerShellUrl -DomainController $RoleDomainController -BasicAuthentication:$false -WindowsAuthentication:$false -RequireSSL:$false -WebSiteName "Default Web Site" -AppPoolId "MSExchangePowerShellFrontEndAppPool";
              new-PowerShellVirtualDirectory $vdirName -Role Mailbox -DomainController $RoleDomainController -BasicAuthentication:$false -WindowsAuthentication:$true -RequireSSL:$true -WebSiteName "Exchange Back End" -Path ($RoleInstallPath + "ClientAccess\PowerShell-Proxy");
            " was run: "The AD configuration for virtual directory 'PowerShell' already exists in 'CN=PowerShell (Exchange Back End),CN=HTTP,CN=Protocols,CN=SRV0,CN=Servers,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT),CN=Administrative Groups,CN=Scafidi Enterprises,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=forest,DC=scafidi,DC=org', please remove this AD configuration manually.
    Parameter name: VirtualDirectoryName".

    I did delete the PowerShell application from the Default website to get past that last error to this. I haven't been able to locate this in ASDI edit.
