Error signing assembly RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an issue when I try to sign an assembly. A have a class that I want to sign so I can use so: 1. I go to the project property page 2. go to the signing tab 3. check sign the assembly 4. uncheck protect with password 5. give it a name and submit I get the error - The operation can not be completed If I try to browse for an existing on I buil I get the error - Error creating assembly manifest: Object already exists. I have tried changing the Runtime Security Policy for all code and changed it to fullTrust but this has made no difference. I have also tried creating a new blank project and signing that but it also fails. I have also tried using sn.exe but all I get is - Failed to generate a strong name key pair -- Object already exists. The code works fine if it is unsigned but I cannot deploy that way. Does anyone have any ideas ?? Darren
