Set IP address in TCP adapter for Biztalk 2006 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I'm using TCP adapter for Biztalk server 2006. I'm trying to configure a receive location in Administration console for the TCP adapter. I need to provide IP address of the system but there is no property for specifying IP address in property pages. By default it displays the local system name in the URI e.g TCP://[localsystem]:1969  Where 1969 is the port number. Please tell me how can I specify the IP address. I've googled a lot for this but almost all info relates to  WCF-NetTCP adapter.

    Thanks in advance

  • Why do you need to specify the IP Address on the receive side?

Can I send using the TCP adapter in biztalk? I want to connect to a TCP server using biztalk server. Is there another way of doing the same?

  • You will need to use a Send Port to send messages to a remote host. The IP address should be configurable on the send port.

  • Hi My remote host is a TCP server listening on a specific port. Can I connect to that using Send port and get response back using the same connection. Thanks for your help! Regards

  • Yes, just declare the send port as a Solicit/Response port.
