Azcopy to blobs but cannot see them on my virtual storage RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I can't find an explanation of how I make the blobs I upload using Azcopy visible to my vhd on my instance.

I can see the files in the storage container, but how do I get at them from a virtual desktop?

  • Can you please describe your question and expectation with more details? It is not quite clear for this statement

"I can see the les in the storage container, but how do i get at them from a virtual desktop"

    * Are you uploading a VHD to specific container and expecting to see this disk in your Virtual Machine?

Once you completed your uploading by AzCopy, please ref to https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/storage-windows-attach-disk/ to attach the disk.

    * Or are you uploading blobs to storage container, and want to access them directly in your virtual desktop?

Once you completed your uploading, you should login to your VM, install AzCopy and download the blobs from the container.

Or you can use Azure Storage Files

Step1 - Create Azure storage File share.

Step2 - Mount the Azure Storage share end point as a local disk

Step3 - Use AzCopy to upload your files to the Storage File

Step4 - Access the files directly in your mounted disk

  • AFAIK, the files will appear on the container when the upload is completed. Are you sure the upload was completed.

Try in the future to use Add-AzureVHD, look here
