Help with excel macros in MAC RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I would like your assistance because I have an excel file with macros to print and save as pdf, the macro set the print area, according the cells filled and then there is a button to print in the default printer and another button to print as a PDF.

This works in Windows but when I run in a macro it doesn't work.

    I would appreciate your help!

    Kind regards,

    Luis Romero

  • Hi LUISB ROMERO,

Windows and Mac both the platforms are totally different from each other.

in Excel for mac there is facility to create , modify and delete the macro.

but some things will not going to work like it works in windows.

like if you want to modify in the user interface it is not supported in mac.

if you want to use activex controls in mac then it is not supported.

you had mentioned that you are trying to print the file.

so you are passing the file path somewhere in your code.

in windows you are using "\" but in mac you have to use ":".

these are the general things that I informed you here.

you can check your code and if you have anything that l mentioned above you can modify it so that it can work on mac.

there are also some other things that I did not mentioned here but you need to take care of that too.

    Regards

    Deepak
