Saving customized SDLToSQL10 throws an exception RRS feed

  • Question

  • I copied SDLToSQL10.tt from its home directory to my project directory for customization. Any time I save it, the following message is thrown:

Error 3 Running transformation: System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: s
       at System.IO.StringReader..ctor(String s)
at Microsoft.Data.Entity.Design.DatabaseGeneration.EdmExtension.CreateStoreItemCollection(String ssdl, Version targetFrameworkVersion, IList`1& edmErrors)

However, the script works just fine.

  • Hi Viktora,

According to your error "System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.", please check for null before accessing it. Though the script works just fine, I guess something may get String s or set it null before you access.

If it doesn't work for you, please feel free to let me know and provide us with your error line code.
