Are there any limits to number of shares on Azure Files Service? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Are there any limits to number of shares under Azure Files Service?  For example, can I have hundreds of shares under one Azure Filese Servics endpoint https://[account].file.core.windows.net/ ? Is there a performance implication having many shares under one service endpoint?

  • Ok, so there are no limits to the number of shares one can have under one azure files services endpoint except that aggregated size of all shares cannot exceed 500TB. Thanks for the information.
