XAP is great. It runs smooth and fast for me. It doesnt require a lot of ram but it has 2 requirements. - Installing Oracle VM VirtualBox - Sometimes painful - Disable HyperV - I need it to be enabled for WP8.1 emulator

Especially the 2nd one is bugging me. HyperV is required for WP testing with integrated VS emulator. VS also has Android emulator but it is too slow for me and it requires 2gb ram to be allocated for it. my laptop is only 4gb. How do you people manage to debug Windowsphone and Android debugging together?

    thanks

I have been experimenting with the Visual Studio Android emulator (running from within Xamarin Studio). It installs with Visual Studio 2015. It seems to work ok. It looks like you have to start it manually before launching your your app in Xamarin Studio in order for it to appear in the "Run With" menu.

Is that not slow for you? It is extremely slow for me and after waiting while I get out or memory exception.
