UDL Connection string testing

Question

Hello,

I use the simple UDL to test connectivity from App server to database server. Since there is an upgrade happened in application server on TLS version UDL test seems to be failing eventhough there is connecvivity between the server. Do we have a workaround to show successful connecvivity using UDL even for different values of TLS version in app adn database servers?

Hi ACDBA,

Please have a try with below two methods:

1.Enable TLS 1.0 for Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server on SQL Server.

2.Install the compatible version ODBC diver--"Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server" and its prerequisite components

Hi ACDBA,

You can try to install Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server:

Download Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server

And test the connectivity via UDL file.
