  • Hello Ganesh,

in a work Group / untrusted Domain the easiest way is to use SQL Login instead of Window authentication.

Otherwise your domain must be added to the forrest as a trusted domain.

  • Did you try with DisableLoopbackCheck?

    Backup registry and then try:

    Set “DisableLoopbackCheck” to 1
    a) Run “regedit.exe” from windows run dialog
    b) Locate to this registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa
    c) Right-click Lsa, select “New | DWORD Value”
    d) Input “DisableLoopbackCheck” and press ENTER
    e) In the right pane of “regedit.exe”, double-click “DisableLoopbackCheck”, input 1 and click “OK” button
    f) Close “regedit.exe”
    g) Restart the computer

  • Is it a domain account or from the local machine that SQL Server is running on?    If it is from another machine in a workgroup or an application running as a different account than you expect then it will not work.
