Disable spell checking in outlook forms RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I'm getting a message every time I try to submit a form that says "The spelling check was stopped before it finished. Do you want to send anyway?". I tried the solution in the KB but the hotfix didn't install. Besides, I don't want to send a hotfix to all the users so now I want to disable spell checking altogether or trick Outlook into thinking the spell check was completed. Something like :

    ActiveDocument.SpellingChecked = True

    But this isn't working. Is there even such a property available when designing a form? If so, where?

    Thx

  • Spell checking is set globally for Outlook. It can be changed by changing a registry setting, but Outlook would have to be restarted after the change for it to take effect, and then no spelling would be done at all unless the user manually called for it on each item.
