Disabling the mail "Subject" and "To" fields of a Reply-To mail RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can anybody help me to find out a way to make "Subject" and "To" fields of a Reply-To mail subject window read only?

We have a mail containing a link as "mailto:xyz@yahoo.com?subject=TestInformation" and this opens a new window to compose a mail. I need this window with Subject Line and To fields as non editable or invisible so that the user should not be allowed to alter the contents of these fields.

Is there any way to send a mail on just a click from the contents of another outlook mail body?

  • No Exchange itself won't put any restrictions around those fields, you maybe able to do it in Outlook with a Com+ Plugin or if you change the MessageClass of the item you can have your own custom forms etc. I would suggest asking in the Outlook forum http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlookdev/threads. (the thing to keep in mind is even if you do have a way of doing this in Outlook other clients like OWA, ActiveSync, BES etc won't be affected).
