2 way SSL using basic HTTP binding RRS feed

  • Hi, 

    How to implement 2 way SSL authentication with basicHTTPBinding? I have a requirement to implement basicHttpBinging due to consumer is not upgraded to SOAP 1.2. 

    Could someone point me to right link/doc on how to implement 2 WAY SSL using basicHttpBinding in WCF?

    Which binding did you use in Service side? It seems you want to create a two way ssl service which supports SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2? If so, I think you could try to define two endpoints, one is BasicHttpbinding and another is wshttpbinding.

    For two way ssl in BasicHttpBinding, I suggest you try below link.

    In addition to the steps laid out in the link, do we need to configure anything else in IIS?

    Yes, you need to configure the IIS SSL mappings. I suggest you refer the link below for complete steps to use 2 way SSL Security using Certificates.
