Truncated line after Heading... RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've been asked by my PR department implement a rather odd design as part of our new Heading 1 style and I'm not sure how to implement it.

They wany every occurance of Heading 1 to be followed by a 70mm long, 3pt line as an underline.  This line will be fixed width no matter the length of the Heading text.

Is this best done with a macro?  In which case is it easy to trigger a macro when a particular Style is selected from the gallery in 2010?

How else could it be achieved?

  • Apply Heading 1 to a paragraph of text. Add a shape linked to that heading. Select the heading and create an AutoText entry based on it. You can then insert the AutoText whenever you want the heading and the line.
