How to add button to submit form and then redirect to URL

    Question

  • Hi there,

I have a form that requires a redirect to a URL upon submit.

So, in the form I have an Yes/No drop-down.  I also have two sections below - one where if "No" is selected, it is unhidden and a normal submit button is available.  I then have another where if "Yes" is selected, the other section is unhidden with another button.  I want this button to be able to submit the form and then redirect the user to another form that is required to be completed.

I'm guessing I need to add a button with "Rules and Custom Code"?  I'm not exactly sure what I need to do from here...

Anybody have some reasonably easy to follow instructions?

  • Hi kelsnz- I don't think that's possible without some custom code. As you probably already know, you can change the add item link that users click to open the form, but that makes the form redirect to another location no matter what. I don't know of a way to only have 1 button redirect and not the other inside InfoPath. You would have to use JavaScript for that.

Anybody?  No way for the form to go to a specific URL upon clicking Submit?
