CreateFailCluster Error or CreateStorage Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Has anyone else run into this error. It's seems quite uncommon. This is Step 17 of the overall process.

Start-PocFabricInstallerTasks : POCFabricInstaller failed because the
    following tasks failed: CreateFailoverCluster
    At C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\AzureStack\Deployment\RunAzureStackDeploymentTask.p
    s1:158 char:19
    + ...        $result = & "Start-$moduleName`Tasks" -StatusUpdatedCallback {
    +                      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Write-Error], WriteErrorExcep
       tion
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.WriteErrorExceptio
       n,Start-PocFabricInstallerTasks

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\AzureStack\Deployment\RunAzureStackDeploymentTask.ps1
: Azure Stack deployment failed in Task Group PocFabricInstaller
    At C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\AzureStack\Deployment\Invoke-AzureStackDeployment.p
    s1:41 char:5
    +     & $PSScriptRoot\RunAzureStackDeploymentTask.ps1 -ErrorAction Stop ...
    +     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Write-Error], WriteErrorExcep
       tion
        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : Microsoft.PowerShell.Commands.WriteErrorExceptio
       n,RunAzureStackDeploymentTask.ps1

If I get past this step (I've tried deploying this a few times), I get stuck at Step 18 whcich is a "CreateStorage" Fail.

    Has anyone figured this out?

  • Hi,

Have you tried Azure Stack TP1.1?
You would have to do a complete repave including the OS reinstall.
This might provide a workaround for your issue.

    Regards,
    Malar.
