Windows authenticated users have changed domain. RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are running SQL 2005 on single boxen, a cluster and virtual machines.  Most Windows authenticated logins have been migrated to a different domain.  Groups and SharePoint related logins have not been migrated yet.  The migrated users don't seem to be having any access problems (yet).

What problems can I anticipate?  How can I solve these problems without dropping and adding each login?

    Thanks,  joe

  • You will have to add those logins from the new domain explicitly . So no other options than drop and recreate logins
once again from new domain. I am not seeing any difficulties in this process..!

  • I hope you need to drop the old logins and add them from the new domain. You can script the logins and change the domain name and execute it
