  • Hi everybody,

It is Failed to install windbg device driver of host computer.

The following is my debug environment:

    Target:windows8 Proessor:32bit Dual core

    host:windows7 64bit version   Proessor:64bit Dual core

    windbg: x64 6.2.9200

The windbg device of host is :

    USB\VID_045E&PID_062D&REV_0000

I use the usb2dbg.sys of windbg document. The inf file of the driver include the VID_045E&PID_062D.

But the system cann't find the avilable driver.

    Thanks for any advices!

  • I tried your advice, It didn't work. Adding Guid information in inf file fixed the bug.

    Thanks.

  • start windbg elevated and try to use usb debugging, see if that installs the driver for you.

  • Hi Zorozh,

     I have same issue.

Can you give more on which GUID you used?

I created one & added, it did not work saying the class is not identified.
