Hi,

Tracing covers a lot of thing so it would be best to be more specific. Generally speaking yes, there is of course nothing done to forbid developers from using tracing on a dev machine. You have features though such as intellitrace that are not in VS (IMO you could still trace, it's just the UI which is not inegrated in VS Community).

Please be more specific about which kind of trace you are trying to look at.
