Looking for API to send text to Cortana, not speech RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm trying to write an app for my desktop that will allow me to type in a request for cortana, much like the "Ask me anything" box.  I'll expand on it for my use, but if someone could help me get that far, then I can take it where I want to take it.

  • Thanks, I'm already doing that work in my own app.  I'm just looking for an entry point via REST, SOAP, or HTTP where I can send a command to Cortana to execute an internal system command, such as "what's the weather in Boston today"

  • I think that is just the same bing search API.  Basically on My phone, Cortana seems to jump in whenever I type a search string. As I understand it, Cortana's first step is to convert Speech to text and then search based on that text. I would expect that you should be able to insert text into that same bing search API leveraged by Cortana.

  • Almost!  Try saying, or typing into your bing browser "add a new appointment to my calendar"
