What it takes to Teach Yourself Programming RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi all

Found an insightful article on "Teaching Yourself Programming".

To become a good programmer will not happen overnight or in 3 days but it will happen if you get involved and practice.

Most of the articles I've read on this topic refer to the importance of gaining experience and practice. Also try to keep your projects fairly simple when starting out. And don't give up. You will strike problems when programs don't do what you expect them to. There's always a logical solution, sometimes it's just not obvious at first glance. I reckon Small Basic and this forum is a great place to start building on that experience.

So if you want to become a good programmer this link could be helpful. (It's a dated article but offers some interesting things to consider). :)
