SQL Server 2008 SP3 - Enterprise - Monitoring database mirroring status RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All !

I'm working on how to have the best monitoring for SQL Server Database Mirroring.

I have 3 servers: principal, mirror and witness with 1 heavy and large mirrored DB: run ok. The monitoring tool is a third-party tool with no SQL Server 2008 options. So, I must integrate something to provide a table for reading to this tool in order to monitoring the mirroring status. I found this link, which is very interesting http://technet.microsoft.com/library/Cc966392, but, when I test it, no information is written in the table [msdb].[dbo].[DB Mirroring State Change].

I have tested every code and it is the same problem. I have tested with sysadmin and not and it is the same problem.

Thanks for advance for your ideas / help - Regards - Have a nice day ! RHUM2

  • Hi Uri !

Thanks for this link, but I already known it.

I don't understand why this procedure is not running correctly.

  • Have you enabled monitoring and that table is empty?
