Moving Oracle, SAP IQ, SQL Server Data Into the Azure Data Lake

  • Hello All,

We are moving to Azure and want to populate a Data Lake.

We have a variety of databases at our company: Oracle, SQL Server, SAP IQ, SAP HANA.

I know that you can create a Data Management Gateway to load On Premise SQL Server Data to the Azure Data Lake.

However, I'm having a hard time finding the best practice to also load Oracle HANA, and IQ Data to the Azure Data Lake.  From my research it appears you'd have to unload the (Oracle/HANA/IQ) table from its on premise database to a CSV (or other file) and then upload that to the Azure Data Lake.

    My questions are:

1)How are other folks uploading non SQL Server Tables/Data?

2)Can other ETL tools (such as Informatica or SAP Data Services) connect and upload to the Azure Data Lake?

Any assistance with tutorials/patterns/best practices would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks In Advance!
