I am writing a novel in Word 2013. It has many chapters. At the end of each chapter, I insert some kind of page break so I can start anew in another chapter.
If the chapter ends on an even page, I have inserted an INSERT/PAGE BREAK. That way, the new chapter begins on the next odd page. If the chapter ends on an odd page, I have (in this order) used a page break as described above, and then on the
next blank page (even page#) I have used a PAGE LAYOUT/BREAK/NEXT PAGE BREAK.
The problem is when I upload to KDP, my new chapter headings do not always begin on an odd page #. Sometimes, they begin on an even page #. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
