  • It depends entirely on what you mean by web template.  That can mean different things.

The general answer is: follow whatever instructions come with the template.

  • The instructions are right in the description: "Unzip the package and you can then open the folder in Expression Web and start editing the pages."

    A call to action:
    What do we want?!
    Time travel!
    When do we want it?!
    That's irrelevant!

  • Basically, create a folder and name it whatever you want to call the site. Download the zip file to that folder, then unzip it there.

Now, in EW, Go to "Site|New Site..." and Browse to that folder. By default, EW will name it the same as the folder name. Make sure that "Add to Managed List" is ticked, select "Empty Site" (the template files will be the site), and click OK.

The new site will open in EW, and from then on you can use "Site|Recent Sites..." to access it quickly.

    cheers,
    scott
