Hai. This is Padmapriya from Ravichandra Systems, Coimbatore. We have one ERP Product has more than 100 screens.

I said to you in that time, Our Product is in ASP. We are planning to convert into ASP.NET. I would like to know what kind of architecture design we have to follow and how to make conversions faster. In ASP we have include files, which hold the common functionality on Database operations and Validations. Pattern files based on the screen functionality like header, Header linked with Details (Parent – Child) and Header linked with Details, Details linked with Details (parent – Child – Grandchild).

    Types of Patterns:

    Header – Supplier Master

Header Details– Purchase Order (Suppliers linked with Items)

Header Details, Details linked with Details - Sale Order (Customers linked with Items, Items linked with schedules)

If we want to do a grandchild pattern it will take only two days now in ASP. In the same way we want to create base classes and include files in ASP.NET.

Kindly give your suggestion on how to create standard patterns and architecture for our product in ASP.NET, considering development time and performance.

     Regards

    Padmapriya
