Get tree of controls for MSAA Internet Explorer and SSMS RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a client MSAA application open for my Coded UI test that is a window of SQL Server Management Studio 2008. I realized that I can't see any other properties of controls in the window (like http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mathew_aniyan/archive/2011/05/17/enabling-ui-testing-for-third-party-winforms-custom-controls-1.aspx). I think that I want to use IAccessible, but how do I tap into getting the controls from SSMS?

Basically, I want to get the InnerText of the "Query executed successfully" ribbon at the bottom of the window after I run it (to wait for it and verify).

I assume that this is a little similar to doing the same thing for an Internet Explorer window that is MSAA.
