Application Feedback and Reviews are disabled in the store


  • Hi everybody,

    today our 1st application was published in the Windows Store. This is a UWP app but in V1 we have only submitted the Windows Phone version as we have not yet finalized tablet/PC design.

    Once the app is installed on a Windows Phone, it is not possible to submit any feedback or review in the Store because this feature is disabled (due to hardware performance...).

    I've tried on 2 different phones, and I really don't understand what's happening as one of them is a Lumia 950 XL which is the device with most powerful hardware on the market (except maybe the latest HP device).

    Any idea?

  • Hello Jean-Marc,

    Whether user can rate or review the app is determined by whether user's device meets all of "Minimum hardware" features in system requirements that you specified in submission. If almost all phones don't seem to meet requirements, you might need to reconfigure it. Anyway, see doumentation below.

    Please check "If you make selections for Minimum hardware, those items will be displayed in your product's Store listing as required hardware for customers on Windows 10, version 1607 or later. Customers on earlier OS versions will not see this info. The Store may also display a warning to customers who are viewing your app's listing on a device that doesn’t have the required hardware. This won't prevent people from downloading your app on devices that don't have the appropriate hardware, but they won't be able to rate or review your app on those devices." in the documentation provided by @FEC-4RP.
