Can we share dlls between .net applications using folder? RRS feed

  • Question

  • .Net assemblies are shared either publicaly (using GAC) or privately (Local Copy). When they are publicaly share they are put into assembly cache from which they can be shared by multiple .exes. When we add local reference to a dll in .net project the copies of dlls are put along the .exe. But I want few of my dlls to be put inside a folder (may be along .exe) and to be shared by multiple .exes.

Can anyone tell me how can we share dlls between multiple applications using a folder.
