  • Hi

    Please try the following steps:

    1.      Navigate to "~Program Files~\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\CONTROLTEMPLATES" on your SharePoint 2007 Server

    2.      Edit the file "VariationsLableMenu.ascx" and uncomment the line <cms:VariationsLabelEcbMenu id ="varlabelmenu1" DataSourceID="LabelMenuDataSource" DisplayText="<%$Resources:cms,VariationLabelMenuTitle%>" IsCallbackMode="true" runat="server" />

    3.      Add the tag <%@ Register TagPrefix="PublishingVariations" TagName="VariationsLabelMenu" src="~/_controltemplates/VariationsLabelMenu.ascx" %> to the header of your master page.

    4.      Add <PublishingVariations:VariationsLabelMenu id="labelmenu1" runat="server"/> in your master page to show the standard VariationsLabelMenu.

There is an article which demonstrates this issue, please refer to:

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi,
    I have similar requirement.
We developed our own custom.master page as per the client requirements. Now the VariationsLabelsMenu is NOT displaying on Home.aspx page.

The VariationsLabelsMenu are displaying properly on collobaration(publishing) site with default.aspx page of English, Spanish and Romanian sites. But I need the VariationsLabelsMenu to be available on the Home.aspx page, which uses custom.master.

Please let us know the best approach to achieve this functionality.

    Thanks in advance.
